Aunjenee’ Coner, LMSW

Searching for a therapist can be challenging. While navigating your feelings and checking off the box you fit best in, it can be difficult to piece together all of your needs into one. As we change and go through life, we also discover different needs over time, and being able to work with someone who can adjust to these changes therapeutically is paramount. Whether you feel distant from yourself, are struggling to adjust to life events, or are simply experiencing feelings you can’t put in words, we can work together to uncover your inner-self.

Hello my name is Aunjenee’ Coner (she/her) and I’m a social worker, creative, and reproductive justice advocate. I am a trauma-informed psychotherapist with a person-centered and strengths-based approach to healing. I support adults who are experiencing depression, stress, anxiety, substance use and burnout.

I am a firm believer in creating a space that best supports your needs whether it is talk therapy, mindfulness, understanding where trauma lives in the body, providing silence, or creative outlets such as journaling to develop better informed coping skills, strengthening connections and empowering yourself as the expert of your healing journey.

Modalities: CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused, integrating Rest is Resistance, TF-CBT

Do you recognize parts of you that need healing but are unsure how to make the change? Have you tried therapy but find yourself focused on coping or daily functioning rather than deeper work or true healing? We work together to process difficult emotions, trauma, or toxic environments to access your authentic self. You might be seeking support after a disturbing event feeling heavy from layers of stress so that keep you from moving forward.

You and I work together to build on and access your strengths, and process challenging experiences. I provide warm, individualized support for your holistic healing and growth. Therapeutic services work when we create a relationship where you feel connected and understood to foster hope and healing. Using proven modalities like Somatic Experiencing® (SE) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to process experiences and accompanying emotions. I offer therapy guided by justice, compassion, healing, and restoration.

A foundation for growth and empowerment is developing trust and connection. You'll experience warm, strengths-based, and evidence-based techniques that advance your well-being.
